First Born and First Granddaughter on both her mother and father's side, some would say Morrisa was always a special and unique individual. At a very young age Morrisa was attracted to the arts. During her elementary school years Morrisa Jeanine was enrolled into the magnet school programs which specialized in specific courses; Morrisa took most of her classes based on fine and performing arts; Morrisa was in the band playing the saxophone, singing in the school chorus as well as art and pottery classes. Morrisa also did other entertainment gigs such as; local televised commercials and printed calenders outside of school. Morrisa was involved in all of these activities before the tender age of 12 years old.
By the age of 13, Morrisa had moved to the metro- Atlanta area along with her single mother and 3 younger siblings. By this time, Morrisa had taken on another interest in web-graphic design over the years of doing this she discovered the cyber-social world creating fans in different areas of art. Morrisa decided to use her voice to network with others in the music scene of Atlanta, Ga. At the age of 14 years old she was introduced to professional recording and songwriting.
Over her teenage years she'd already created and included herself in multiple girl groups writing original songs for them to record, perform at showcases and talent shows in and around Atlanta. It wasn't long before Morrisa caught hold of the webcam and discovered the benefit of YouTube-ing; Once Morrisa begin to make videos singing famous cover songs (at the time) she started to tallying up the fans, supporters and subscribers.
In her late teens Morrisa decided to take a "break" and work behind the scenes to push herself as an solo artist and songwriter, while focusing on perfecting her craft; by 19 years old she signed with a production label out of Atlanta, Ga in which she joined BMI and began songwriting for other established as well as up and coming artist searching for placements. Morrisa Jeanine has networked and worked closely with some very well-known names in the music industry.
It wasn't until her college years that she begin to pick up another skill and explore the talent of film-making; Graduating from a Private College with a Business Management Degree and an Associates in Arts; Morrisa also studied Media Production (Film & Video).
In 2012, For personal reason Morrisa left the music group / production label that she had signed with. Shortly after leaving the production label, Morrisa launched the online campaign for her first solo independent mixtape project titled "The Good Ol' Stuff." The mixtape did digitally well for its kind with the leading song "Dirty Ol' Clothes" it peaked the interest of several media outlets, music executives and peers who stated "This is Raw and Real R&B" with a strong support system after the release of the mixtape, Morrisa introduced her peers to her film production company Film TheVISION and her branding label Verse Union.
2014, Morrisa Jeanine released her first EP "Year XXVI" featuring the hit leading song "Out The Game" this record got in the ears of Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, UK and other countries as well as American music lovers. "Out The Game" developed a buzz on its own without promotion or campaigning which drove Morrisa Jeanine to release a full 6 song EP under her own independent label Verse Union at the age of 26.
To date Morrisa Jeanine continues to independently release original music and visuals leading up to the release date of her first official debut album.
